Flood stories in Cultures

In Greek mythology there is a flood story where Zeus the lord of the gods (and the coolest in my opinion) sent a heavy rain to flood the earth and to destroy the Bronze Age of Greece. This is because he was angered by the evil humanity at the time, so his decision was to kill everybody. But the the god Prometheus warned his son, Deucalion, of Zeus plans and advised him to build a box and hide in it for nine days and nine nights which was the amount of time the heavy rain lasted. Because of this he survived the flood along with a few who escaped to the high mountains. This story has similarities and differences to the story of Noah's arch which is another flood story from another popular religion. One similarity of the two is that they both had God angry with humanity for being unkind to one another. Another similarity is that they both resolved the problem with a flood. But a difference is that in the story of Noah he built a boat but Deucalion was instructed to build a box. Also Noah was told to get two of every animal while Deucalion was not.
